jakeIt is wonderful to see the faces of those involved in the horticulture project when the first sign of life appears from a seed that had been sown. They are then involved in watering, caring for the plant till it can be planted in our conservation project, or gardens, or sold through our retail area, or on sales days.

The project can accommodate people with physical disabilities, and has heated plant beds and a standing area. There are plans to develop the area further to expand this very popular project.

The project produces many salad crops and vegetables, which are used to feed those in the supported homes, or those working on the farm each day. This project is essential for helping build self-esteem, and a sense of real worth.

We hold a popular Plant Sales Day in May each year and plants are available for sale throughout the year.

The horticulture team cares for flower borders around the farm, a herb garden and sensory gardens, in addition to propagating herbs and shrubs, along with the bedding plants.

This is a wonderful project, enabling us to explain the way in which God provides for our needs.
