Knowing where we are going is so important in life. If we know where we are trying to get to, then we can make plans that help us travel in the right direction.

Caring For Life is on a journey, so having and keeping the vision of where God is taking us is absolutely crucial.

I love sailing, and to use a sailing illustration, 'It is only when the destination of where we are going is known that we can set the right sails and course to move towards our goal. There will be many sail changes, course alterations and crew changes to make the best use of the wind and tide and to avoid the hazards around us.' But all of this will be directed to the object of our safe arrival at our intended final port.

On our journey, it is right that we make every effort to maximise the resources God has given us in order to share His love and meet the needs of those around us.

At Caring For Life we have often been told that the quality of our longhorn beef and lamb is among the best available. With the uncertainty of some funding sources and the ever-present need for Jesus' love, Caring For Life is looking to develop the sale of our home-grown meat and eggs.

We have often recognised that as those in our care see how their efforts and abilities have genuinely contributed to producing some of the finest plants, meat and eggs in the area, so they are also able to see, sometimes for the first time, a value in themselves.

The recognition that in his wonderful love, God has blessed everyone with gifts and abilities, is something we think should be nurtured, valued and encouraged, and must never be replaced by the thirst for income.

As we look to develop the sales at Caring For Life we do so in the knowledge and desire that it helps achieve the building up of people who feel they have no value and nothing to offer. It will contribute financially to the ongoing work and journey of CFL, which in turn gives us greater opportunity to share the love of Jesus and the wonderful hope of a destination where we can for all eternity be in the perfect presence of God.

It has been said that if we plan for nothing, then nothing is what we are likely to get.

The Bible tells us much of God's plan for His people. Jesus offers us all the opportunity to have an abundant life by putting our faith in Him, and together living out the life He has planned for us.

Please pray with us that our plans here at CFL will take us where God is leading, and that all we do may glorify the Father and help point others to our wonderful Saviour.
