jonathanHarvest for the Future!

The sun is shining, the flowers are now starting to blossom and for the first time in the last six months, the cattle and sheep are roaming the newly-rolled fields.

Spring is finally here, and it’s felt like a very long winter. The men and women of Caring For Life are certainly ready for the better weather, because we often see an upturn in spirits as we see an improvement in the weather.

We have seen some wonderful things over the past few weeks here on the Agricultural project. The new P.A.M. (people and animals meeting) Building has transformed what we can do on this project. Our wonderful new facility has already made working with the large animals much more safe and productive.

Chris and his team have also been working hard getting the land ready for turning out the animals. As I look around the farm, there are lovely neat lines up and down the fields where Chris has been rolling and harrowing; we will see the grass really start to grow now.

The first of the cattle were turned out into the fields recently. Believe me, they were thrilled to be out; they all charged around the fields --- the Grand National has nothing on our turnout time!

Tim also turned out our ram last Friday; he is an impressive looking ram going by the name Umberto. (We didn’t name him!) He was so happy to be out that he escaped from his field and Chris and Tim had to embark on a rescue mission, capturing him from our neighbour’s farm.

But as the grass grows and we work towards our first harvest of silage, we at CFL want to see a large harvest, but the Harvest we want to see more than any other is a harvest of souls. We are so thankful to God for the wonderful privilege of being able to speak of Jesus’ Love and to show it in some practical way.

We have seen many souls brought into his Kingdom and we earnestly pray that we shall see many more coming to know the Love of Jesus and accepting him as Lord and King.

We have the privilege of planting the seeds and we pray that in time we will see those seeds growing and developing into a harvest of souls.

We trust in the God who has already done more than we could have ever imagined, to do far more in the future, and we give all the glory and honour to Him.
