Help Needed & Greatly Valued!

As I look out of my office window I am looking over a field which is currently home to our newly shorn ram and 20 of his young male offspring. The grass is a wonderful vibrant green, the field having been cut just a few weeks ago and now filled with new fresh growing grass. The warm rains of the past few days have encouraged vigorous growth in all our grass, and of course our weeds.

There are a myriad tasks to attend to at all times of the year, and this is no exception at Caring For Life. The reality is that our work would, without doubt, grind to a complete standstill, if it were not for the amazing body of volunteers that help us in our ministry here at CFL. One comes every day to help with our equestrian project, some come every week, some come for a whole week at a time 3, 4, 5 or even 6 times a year, others come at special times, such as to help us package and post all our bulletins, as well as at other times of special need.

These faithful volunteers, most of whom are regular prayer supporters of our ministry, have been joined recently by a growing band of people who come from different companies to assist us.

As I write, we have 20 volunteers from ASDA and 6 from N Power. We can get up to 60 volunteers at a time from ASDA, and N Power who send people every week. Other companies such as KPMG, Xiros, Deloittes, Abbey and Starbucks regularly send people to help.

The sheer volume of work that these groups achieve is just amazing.

It may seem that we couldn't use any more help, but we certainly could. Those regular prayer supporters who give us a day each week are of greater value than they or you could possibly imagine; not just in accomplishing the tasks we assign to them, but also in building crucial bridges of friendship with those in our care.

Caring For Life will always need as much help as we are offered, but we will always be very, very appreciative of every offer of help that we receive.
