There is a saying that goes like this: 'When you say a situation or a person is hopeless, you are slamming the door in the face of God'.
Well in today's world we really do not have to look far to spot a seemingly hopeless situation or person. The current economic climate has affected us all and for many it has pushed them into desperate circumstances. For many others it is social situations or damaged relationships that cause despair and helplessness.
Most of the folk who we care for here at CFL, is only a memory away from the abuse and seemingly hopeless situations they've endured in their lifetime. But we've witnessed the powerful love of Jesus starting a healing process in many, giving hope to the once hopeless.
It is a wonderful experience to see them taking pride in the work that they do on their projects and the sense of achievement when they've learnt a new life skill. There is really unspeakable joy when individuals come to faith and then starting to show Jesus' love to others.
At CFL we put our hope in God, leaving the door wide open for Him to change lives and situations.
Please look at our daily prayer points on the website and join us in prayer, praying not just for those who we care for but also for Caring For Life as a charity as we face many challenges in these economic times.
Romans 12:12 (NIV)
'Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.'
