Timing is Everything

There are so many sayings which includes the word ‘time.’ To mention just a few:
- There is a time for everything.
- Time heals all wounds.
- Time is money.
- What we love to do, we find time to do.
In various ways we are all dependant on time - time tells us when to wake up, to attend a meeting, to buy food or to pay a bill. Of course time is actually a relevant quantity. God created time to help us humans live a structured life.
Here at CFL we often experience time as the enemy especially when we see the long waiting lists of people who are in desperate need of help. We realise that time is of the essence if we want to make an impact in any of these individuals’ lives. We also know that there is only a window of opportunity to help them with housing, food, friendship and most of all the chance to share the love of Jesus.
The Bible tells us that what you sow you reap. Of course we would like to see quick results because of our desire to see peoples’ lives changed for the better, but we also know that, like any good farmer will tell you, there is supposed to be a time lapse between sowing and reaping: it is not an instant process. If you try to reap in the wrong seasons, you can destroy the harvest and you definitely don't reap what you sowed.
So we trust the One who invented time. Timing is everything, therefore we must have patience and faith, concentrating on being good disciples and care for those who God have brought to us.
Please pray for our staff team and volunteers as we serve the Lord of the harvest, trusting His perfect timing to change hearts and lives.
