"Full to Bursting"

This summer has been an exciting time here at CFL. The farm has been incredibly busy with visitors to the Granary and also with customers enjoying a stroll in our Conservation area.

The Granary has been full most days with people sitting outside enjoying the sun, sometimes for up to an hour and a half, waiting for a table. This has given some people the opportunity to visit areas of the farm which are open to the public and it has also give some of us the opportunity to share with these visitors something about the work and ministry of CFL.

Its hasn’t only been busy with people filling the farm each day, the Agricultural team have been hard at work this summer harvesting the hay, silage and straw.

Our barn is full of hay bales and large round bales of straw; the silage is now completely in and we have enjoyed a great summer crop. We now just have one small field of hay to cut and harvest; let’s hope we get just a bit more sun.

The trees have never been so full of wild fruits either. This last week has seen some of our staff and volunteers picking wild plums and berries from the trees here on the farm. These bumper crops of fruit have been collected and stored ready for making into jams and whatever we don’t pick will be welcome food for the wonderful birds which make Crag House Farm their home.

We are so thankful to our Heavenly Father for all that He provides, whether it be people, crops or fruits. But most of all we are so thankful for the love of God shown most wonderfully through His Son Jesus.
