jasonWhat a month we have all had, snow, snow and more snow. I think the novelty has worn off now; for me it wore off after 2 days!

We, like many, have had a real battle on to keep the lane open, the Granary running and all the projects functioning. Tons of salt and grit have been put down, and hours and hours of digging have taken place, just to keep paths accessible. We thank God that, apart from one day, we have been able to keep everything open for business.

laneThe paths and lane have been worked on tirelessly by some of the Farm team member and huge piles of snow have been developing around the farm. I am sure these piles will be here long after the snow has gone from the fields!

It’s not been all bad though and we took an afternoon out to enjoy the extreme conditions. An old metal wheelbarrow was converted into a high tech toboggan, which was then towed around the fields. footballThis was a huge hit, bringing much laughter and joy in what have been a cold and miserable few weeks.

If you live locally and you feel brave enough to venture out, come and visit us in the Granary; we will always give you a very warm welcome.

As I write this, I can see drips coming from the gutters. Let’s hope and pray that the thaw comes and continues, and that we can start preparing for the next bout of hedge planting and other outside work.

sheepBut please continue to pray for our work here. We have many mountains to climb in the next few weeks, but the greatest mountain is to bring Jesus’ love to some very damaged people. We pray that God will cause a thaw in the hearts of those in our care, enabling them to know the warmth of God’s love.

Please take care out there, and we look forward to seeing you soon.
