The last few weeks have been very busy for us on the farm. We had a really great visit from our patron, Her Royal Highness The Countess of Wessex, and all the hard work that went into making the farm look good was very much appreciated. We have been stocking up on our meat so we are ready for our annual Christmas Craft Sales Day. Preparing the beef and lamb can be hard work, but it is also a lot fun. Its great to see how some of our team have developed in terms of their knowledge of meat cuts and also their skills with the butchery and meat preparation.
Tim's team has also been busy getting the sheep ready for winter. His team have been hoof trimming this last week and they have been constantly checking the health of the ewes; it has been very wet and the grass has mostly gone now, so they need to make sure that the stock are well.

Mike Betts team have also been working flat out. Before the royal visit, Mike was able to start on the new potting shed. This will be a great facility when it is finished, but now he is busy making woodwork items ready to be sold on our sales day.
Now that the growing season is over, Michael Charlton's team has been working inside the tunnels preparing for next year. He has quite a mixed group of men and some need quite close supervision.
Christmas can be a really hard time for the men and women in our care, so we hope that you will pray with us that we can clearly explain to these folks just what Christmas is about. Lets pray that we will see many of the people we are so very privileged to care for coming to love our Saviour.
