It's not just all hard work!<< previous page In the reception and marketing (CMP) office when deadlines are looming, be it the next mailshot to our loyal and faithful supporters, producing the next nature trail leaflets, the next annual report, getting the next DVD update finished, doing the next photocopying job for someone or even just collecting our emails, its refreshing to know that a smile and a laugh is never too far away. Were quite possibly the most privileged team there is at Crag House Farm. We may not be outside in the beautiful surroundings where we can enjoy the wonderful creation that God has given us. We may not be working with the beautiful animals, or working in the woodwork shop producing some amazing creations to sell. We may not even work in the polytunnels where we can very clearly appreciate all the colours of the plants that project can produce. No, were in an office where, more often than not, we can be found sitting looking at a screen! However We are so privileged. Quite often our work in CMP requires that we go out and visit every CFL project. We need to take photographs and film footage for our DVDs. We need to talk to people about their projects and find out what prayer requests people have.
So, just by doing the work we do, we get to enjoy small snippets of Caring For Life projects all the time. We get to see the wonderful produce that each project is involved in creating. We get to enjoy them on our screens. We look at the images and enjoy seeing the film footage, over and over. Its just great to see the expressions on the faces of those who are on the projects as we show interest and record what they are doing. We have been producing a number of different films for various purposes recently and during this time we found a fair amount of footage that really was very funny. Out-takes, mistakes, laughter, joking and people enjoying the camera being pointed at them or just having fun is really great to watch.
So we may be in our office and sometimes miss the enjoyment of being outside. Of course it does have its perks, especially with the lovely UK weather. But we really do get to see the farm projects and through our work, we love to be able to demonstrate the wonder of what God is doing here at Caring For Life. |
