Under Construction

For the last few months a big part of Crag House Farm has been a building site.

We saw scaffolding going up, diggers clearing building areas, building materials being delivered and bricklayers hard at work, building walls. And as time passed by we saw new buildings taking shape, or in some cases, existing buildings getting a ‘face-lift’ or rather…a roof-lift!

Looking at all these changes at Crag House Farm I realised that each one of us is also constantly ‘under construction’ or undergoing ‘restoration’. It is the Spirit of God that convicts us of our short comings and it is by the grace of God that He lovingly and patiently changes us on the inside and gives us the desire to become more and more like our Saviour Jesus, serving and loving each other.

At Caring For Life this ‘construction and restoration process’ is that much more evident, especially in those we are called to care for, as many times their restoration is such a long, painful process because of the abuse and hardship they have endured.

It has been said that,
….it takes broken skin days to heal, broken bones heal in weeks or months, broken hearts and spirits sometimes in years…but broken souls only heal by God’s grace.

That is certainly true from all that we are witnessing here at CFL.

As we befriend and build relationships with the men and ladies at CFL, we experience first hand the power of the love of Christ at work, observing the transformation it brings about in individuals.

Just as Jesus’ love on the cross restored our relationship with the Father, so He is restoring broken hearts at CFL by enabling us to share His love with those He has entrusted to us.
