Have you ever visited a place and wished there was someone, a tour guide perhaps, to show you the way and give you a bit more information?
Most people who are referred to us at CFL have experienced so much suffering, unkindness and loss that they have lost the ability to distinguish true friendship from abusive relationships, to know truth from lies, darkness from light. They are lost in a world of overwhelming feelings of inadequacy and have little self worth. They are in desperate need of guidance.
The staff here at CFL are the spiritual tour guides for the folks who come here, pointing out the true and good wherever they see it. Teaching our friends how to see our Creator in things that have always been there, but they just did not realise that. Pointing out to them God at work in their own lives. By loving and caring for these individuals and building relationships, we are able to make them aware of the reality of God and His love for all of us. We encourage them to talk to us and ask questions so that they also have the opportunity to discover and enjoy God in a personal way.
Our task is to see Gods hand where others dont necessarily, and then to point Him out to those in our care. In our conservation and horticulture project we can point out the creative God, in agriculture we can identify and rejoice in the life-giving God (especially during lambing season!) In all our projects we can share the love of Jesus, because we receive and experience this most amazing Love every day of our lives.
Tour guides show others what they have already seen please pray for the staff team that we may be spiritually healthy so that we can share the God of love with those entrusted to us. Pray that we will be able to make these folks aware of the beautiful, the good and the Truth in their lives, because Jesus is there, ready to meet them in their darkest of circumstances, understanding their pain and loving them enough to have died for them.
