T shirts, to the beginning of a Yorkshire winter with hats, gloves and scarves piled on. " Are you wearing plenty of layers ?" is my early morning cry, as we change into work clothes to start the day. We have been very busy during the last few days as we prepare for the Christmas Craft Sale on Dec 1st. All the harvest gifts have been sorted and stored away, and the polytunnel is briefly empty before hopefully undergoing a transformation with Christmas lights and decorations! There are lots of jobs to be fitted in, from gathering moss to decorate the bowls of hyacinths, to pricing all sorts of knitted and hand made articles. It has been very exciting opening the post as our supporters have so generously donated gifts. A very warm welcome will await those who brave the cold and join us on Saturday. The delicious aroma of beef burgers will again be wafting down the yard, and the centre will be a cosy place to enjoy a mince pie. This is a time of year when people think about their loved ones, their families, and being with them. We do thank God that for CFL staff, volunteers and the people we are privileged to care for, He has drawn our lives together so that we can be together through His love as a special family. Please pray for those we know who find Christmas a painful or lonely time and pray that the Lord will help us to surround them with his love.
