Hope!

Hope is a peculiar word. While it suggests a positive outcome, it also implies a certain degree of despair and misery.
Hope creates an expectation of something better to come.
There is pleasure in hope.
When you walk around Crag House Farm, you realise that hope is alive and well here at CFL. The new buildings are a visible expression of our hope and vision for the future. When you talk to the folks in our care it is a heart-breaking reality that hope is part of our nature and will be found in every human heart.
With the building work nearing completion there is a great deal of excitement and anticipation. Due to a lack of space we have been unable to run the art and craft project for a while now and we hope that the additional space and facilities in the new adult learning centre will encourage those in our care to express themselves through art & craft, and to continue their enjoyment of literacy & numeracy, performing arts and music plus the CMP project. If you would like a taster of the CMP project, watch A day in the life of David, which is currently on the webpage.
The agricultural team are also already enjoying the benefits of the PAM building, especially the opportunity to work in close contact with the animals.
As an organisation we are greatly indebted to our supporters. It is this special group of people that play a huge part in keeping hope alive at CFL, because they pray and they give.
As always we as staff and volunteers hope that our dealings with those in our care will reflect our desire to offer love and friendship and above all the longing to share with them the Hope that we have because of the love that Jesus showed to us all on the cross.
May we never underestimate the power of hope and may we never deprive anyone who comes to us of hope; it might be all they have.
