We are now well and truly into 2008. A new year has started and it is with some trepidation that I consider what this year has in store.
2007 has been a remarkable year and God has answered many of our prayers in amazing ways. Lives have changed, opportunities presented and provision received.
Sometimes I look out of the window and think the task is just too big, too much to ask.
The farm here in Leeds is undergoing big and costly changes (see the building progress on our website), which will improve and help safeguard the future of this remarkable ministry in which I feel privileged to serve.
Often the same is said of the people who come to Crag House Farm. The task is too big, the hurt is too deep; I dont know where to start, how can I make a difference? Yet we have seen so many lives wonderfully transformed, as people begin to feel loved and secure, often for the very first time.
When we have stepped out with vision and faith, God has graciously provided, sometimes miraculously, but more often through faithful people just doing what they can.
So why do I look forward to 2008 with some trepidation? I think my faith in Gods willingness, or interest to be involved is constrained by my short memory.
If we took more time to acknowledge and remember what God has, and is doing, we might look forward to the future with more anticipation and excitement, because He is faithful despite my lack of faith. We have proved this over and over again this past year and some staff can look back and see Gods goodness and wonderful provision over twenty-one years!
