Open Day loomsby Tim Parkinson << previous page Open Day is getting close. There is a huge amount of pressure to get the building work completed, and equipped! We want to be able to open the new learning centre to our prayer supporters on Open Day, so that they can capture the vision which has come to fruition in the form of this building. Areas of the farm have already started to be prepared to make sure that the farm site is looking the best that it possibly can. We have many volunteers coming in each week, without whom we wouldn't survive, and we are so grateful for this wonderful help. All projects are busy with their own areas of work and additional work in preparation for this day. The Computing and Media Project, (CMP), is also keyed up for the event. Already a short "year in review" film is being put together to be shown on our Open Day during the short review that we have now traditionally put on at the end of the day. Martyn and his team of film makers have been busy gathering lots of film clips from the last year, and we were really excited in CMP as we looked back at all the work that has been happening, all the events we have been able to host, seen the large number of volunteers that have helped, watched new buildings being erected, and seen areas of the farm change, in ways that we never would have imagined five years ago! We hope that you will be able to join us on Open Day to see the changes that have happened in the last year, to meet the people we care for, to see the staff, and to share with us in our vision for helping many more people. Our Adult Learning facility will revolutionize the way in which we can offer practical and therapeutic care. Creative outlets in music, drama, art and crafts will give some of those in our care a whole new purpose and perspective on life itself, and adult literacy tuition will equip them to cope in day to day life. We are so amazed by how God has provided for our needs, humbled by the sacrificial support from individuals, groups and Trusts which have provided much needed finances. We are still seeking funds to complete the building costs. It is crucial that we keep our eyes fixed on God and on our goal of bringing people into a loving environment where Christian people are seeking to follow in Christ's footsteps. If you feel you could offer Caring For Life some financial support at this time, please do help. If you have captured something of what we are striving to do, please help today. It's easy to give online with our PayPal link; alternatively you can call and speak to our accounts team or PR team about setting up a standing order or leaving a legacy. We do hope to see you at our Open Day and please do continue to pray for all the projects being run at Caring For Life, as we share Jesus' love with many needy and hurting people. |
