Adoption Scheme

Adopting an animal

We are offering you the opportunity to help us look after the animals. No…this doesn’t mean mucking the stables out or feeding our 1000 free-range hens, instead you can adopt one of the animals. We will send you a progress report once a quarter on how your animal is doing and also about the whole project in general, with updates on some of the people we care for who are involved in the project.

When you have chosen your animal, you will receive a special Caring For Life Adoption Certificate and a fact sheet all about your animal and its particular breed.

It could be that you won’t be the only person to adopt your particular animal. By adopting one of the animals, you are helping to look after not only your animal but also all the animals here in that species. Everyone will adopt the same figurehead animal for each species, and the money raised will go towards CFL’s animal husbandry project. For example by adopting Copper, one of our Guinea Pigs, you are in effect adopting all the Guinea Pigs that CFL may look after both now and in the future. Guinea Pigs, Horses and Cattle are all available for adoption.

Adopting a pond or garden

If you are looking for a way to support Caring For Life and have a love for the great outdoors, then you might wish to be part of our Adoption Scheme. We are giving you the chance to adopt either the CFL gardens or one of our 4 ponds.

From just £2 per month, you can start to become more involved in the Horticulture and Conservation projects. You will receive a quarterly update about what is going on in the project, including information about any developments and also an update on some of the young people.

This scheme is more suitable for groups. A plaque will be displayed with the name of the groups who have adopted the gardens or ponds.

If you decide to adopt either the gardens or ponds, why not organise a group visit to Caring For Life and see with your own eyes the wonder of Gods' creation and how your donation is contributing towards this valuable project.
