Thank God for his goodness and for this very encouraging link.

Saturday 28th January
One month away from CFL’s 25th Birthday on 28th February, do pray that God will increase our vision, enable us to trust him and believe his promises that He can do immeasurably more than we can ask or imagine. Please pray for CFL’s PR team, who are working very hard on all fronts to seek to raise CFL’s income, to replace local authority funding when Supporting People payments end, and to help CFL to not only continue to care for all those who are dependent on our help, but also to care for others who are falling through the net.

Wednesday 5th October
Please pray for CFL’s team of six Time For Jesus volunteers, who are giving a year of their life to serve at CFL, doing a wonderful job in essential roles. Pray for Esther, Emily, Eva, Tom, Tilly and Tamsin.

Tuesday 4th October
Do thank God with us for the wonderful harvest gifts which are arriving here at CFL. These gifts are vital in helping us to reduce food bills, and also to provide food hampers at Christmas for people who are alone, and food parcels throughout the year for people in difficulties.

Monday 3rd October
Please pray for CFL’s plans to move the Granary café and farm shop into the seventeenth century barn, enabling CFL to raise greater income to sustain its work. Pray that all will go well with meetings with seeking permission to undertake the work needed to create this facility, helping CFL to continue to care for many needy people.

Sunday 2nd October
Do pray with us that today will be a real blessing to the whole CFL family, including those in countries other than the UK, and especially remembering Mike Castle’s work in the USA in Los Angeles, as he seeks to reach out to those who are so hurt and damaged. Pray that as the day the Lord has given to us ends, we will all know the truth of this wonderful hymn:

The day Thou gavest, Lord, is ended,
The darkness falls at Thy behest;
To Thee our morning hymns ascended,
Thy praise shall sanctify our rest.

We thank Thee that Thy church, unsleeping,
While earth rolls onward into light,
Through all the world her watch is keeping,
And rests not now by day or night.

As o’er each continent and island
The dawn leads on another day,
The voice of prayer is never silent,
Nor dies the strain of praise away.

The sun that bids us rest is waking
Our brethren ’neath the western sky,
And hour by hour fresh lips are making
Thy wondrous doings heard on high.

So be it, Lord; Thy throne shall never,
Like earth’s proud empires, pass away:
Thy kingdom stands, and grows forever,
Till all Thy creatures own Thy sway.
John Ellerton, 1870.

Saturday 1st October
Please pray for those supported by the Being There team and on the daytime therapeutic/work experience projects who are particularly vulnerable, sadly sometimes determined to self destruct, despite all we seek to do in loving and supporting them. Pray for their safety and for patience and strength for those working with them.

September 2011

Friday 30th September
Do thank God with us for the wonderful harvest gifts which are beginning to arrive here at CFL. These gifts are vital in helping us to reduce food bills, and also to provide food hampers at Christmas for people who are alone, and food parcels throughout the year for people in difficulties.

Thursday 29th September
With Supporting people funding ending, CFL is doing everything in its power to raise funds to maintain crucial support of very vulnerable people. Please pray for all our efforts, and for real wisdom grace and strength to maximise the potential to bring in income. Above all please pray that we will be able to find more Christian people who will support CFL regularly, praying for us day by day and becoming part of the wide family of CFL .

Wednesday 28th September
Do pray for Tamsin, who joined our TFJ team on Monday. This makes our TFJ team for 2011/12 complete: Esther, Eva, Emily, Tom, Tilly and Tamsin! Do pray for these young people as they give a year of their lives to Christian ministry, undertaking numerous practical tasks, which is enormously helpful to us at CFL.

Tuesday 27th September
Please pray for the Bible Study to be held at the end of the afternoon for any attending the daytime projects. Around 15 to 20 usually come along. Please pray that we will be able to teach young Christians simply and clearly, and to lead others to know Christ as their own Saviour.

Monday 26th September

Sunday 25th September
Pray for great blessing on the whole CFL extended family this Lord’s Day, including those in CFL’s care who are attending church very regularly and who do not yet know Christ as their own Saviour and best friend. Praise God for all His goodness and love, and do pray that He will meet all our needs according to His riches in Christ Jesus.

Saturday 24th September
Do pray for our Granary team of staff and volunteers. Their contribution to CFL is absolutely vital and we need to increase the income to the charity from this important venture. Pray for strength for the staff and blessing on the time they each spend with customers, providing a warm and welcoming environment.

Friday 23rd September
Please pray for the safe return of young people and staff who will be travelling home today after holidays come to an end.

Wednesday 21st September
Please pray for the Being There housing support team. Every day they deal with people in crisis and also provide patient, consistent ongoing support for those who are more settled, but who would be in distress or have serious difficulties if their support ended. Pray that as our team of staff and volunteers visit week by week, the love of Jesus which they share will draw people to want to know the Saviour who the team are serving.

Monday 19th September
Please pray for some of our young people who are away on holiday this week. Pray this will be a good time for rest and fellowship as they spend time with each other and the staff who are caring for them.

Monday 12th September
Please pray for the Being There housing support team. They are kept extremely busy, as are the volunteers who help them. Pray for safety and for blessing on each visit they make, that those they support will feel really loved and cared for and wille xperience the love of Christ through our team.

Sunday 11th September
Please pray for all those in CFL’s care who have come to know Christ, that they will grown in faith today and in love for their Saviour. Pray for those who may be discouraged or struggling in any way, and do pray for a number of gentlemen and ladies who are currently attending church regularly and whose hearts are being really warmed to the gospel.
