Bible Study Live!

It has been a great blessing to have our monthly Bible study on site at the farm in person over the last few months. We haven’t come to take that for granted just yet after so many months of only seeing each other on zoom!

It is still a novelty to be able to eat lunch together (with pudding of course!), to sing our favourite songs and to open the Bible together. And each Bible study includes a fun game or activity which helps to focus on the topic we are studying.

This week we enjoyed a game of ‘Sussed?’ together before our Bible study. This involved guessing what various staff members might answer in response to silly questions, such as….

Which Guinness World Record would I want to hold?

A) Fastest stilt walker

B) Largest hula hoop spin

C) Most spoons balanced on my face

This was great fun but, of course, the answers to these questions don’t really matter.

We were then able to discuss some questions that Jesus asked his disciples in Mark 8 v 27 & 29. The answers to these questions really do matter!

Jesus asked…

27 “Who do people say I am?”……

29 “But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?”

It was a great blessing to be able to consider our own answers to these questions. And it was wonderful to read on in Mark 8 where Peter answers..

“You are the Messiah.”

Please pray with us as we share Jesus’ love with those in our care and challenge them to think of their answers to the questions that Jesus asks of each of one of us. Pray that they would know in their own hearts that he is the Messiah, the One who was sent to save them.
