Time For Jesus
AN INTERNSHIP IN CHRISTIAN SERVICE
Our Time For Jesus scheme provides young people the opportunity to experience Christian ministry hands on. Give a year of your life to serving Christ at Caring For Life and literally give Time For Jesus.
A Year Of Service & Ministry
WHAT TO EXPECT
You’ll be challenged, stretched and taken right out of your comfort zone. A very special part of your year will involve regular sessions as a TFJ team to undertake biblical and theological studies, enabling you to think through your Christian faith more clearly and address some of the huge issues that face us in the 21st century. You will be given a reading list and encouraged to share what you are learning.
WHAT THEY'RE SAYING:
Expect the unexpected and be ready for anything. Literally.
QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
How old do I need to be to apply for a TFJ year?
You must be 18+ to apply for a TFJ year. Under 21s cannot work unsupervised with vulnerable adults, so joining the TFJ team as a 21 year old gives you the broadest possible experience. Due to the strenuous and demanding nature of the year, not all applications can be accepted.
When does the TFJ year start?
Intake for the TFJ year is generally September, but you may be able to join the us at another point in the year.
What will a TFJ year cost me?
£0 … just your time and energy! You don’t have to raise funds to join the programme. Your accommodation and bills are covered by us. You also receive a cash sum each week to meet your basic expenses, such as food and necessities.
What will I get out of a TFJ year?
A Time For Jesus year can be (and often is) a life-changing experience. Not only will you learn the value of hard work and flexibility, you'll gain hands-on experience in Christian ministry and service.
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.
